Plaster, lime, relief, gilding and murals installed by our own team, planned around the oast houses, timber frames, seaside terraces and new builds of Kent.
Decorative specialists in Kent are the people who can plaster, paint, gild and mould a house in one go, and that is what Zavoré offers. We supply and install Venetian plaster, polished plaster, marmorino, limewash, tadelakt, microcement, clay plaster, concrete effect, liquid metal and artificial rock, alongside bas relief, sculptural plaster, murals, mosaics, cornice and coving, gilding and lacquered walls. Our showroom and training centre in London is open by appointment, and the easiest way to begin is a sample board.
This page is for homeowners, designers, architects and contractors working in Kent. Each main finish has its own Kent page, linked further down.
Kent's housing is unusually varied, and each type asks for different work.
The full list is on our decorative installations page. These are the ones we expect Kent clients to ask about.
Barn conversions, extensions and country house restorations usually come with a designer, an architect or a main contractor. If you are specifying, our page for designers and architects sets out what we can offer on samples and details. Contractors can ask about a trade account, and we plan around other trades so wet work finishes before delicate work begins.
Where several crafts meet, we survey and price them together. A Regency hall might want cornice repaired, a polished plaster wall and gilt on a mirror frame. A converted oast might want limewash in the bedrooms and a mural on the stairwell. One team can plan the order of work. Our colour page explains how we match an NCS reference.
We survey first, looking at the walls, ceilings and floors, damp and movement, how the room is used, access and how the space is protected. Small questions can often be answered from photos. We say plainly if a wall needs skimming, stripping or a damp problem fixing first.
Then comes a sample, and we agree colour and finish on it before pricing. Plaster is tinted before it leaves Birmingham, in 48 house colours or any NCS reference. Larger jobs are planned in blocks of days, with the team staying on to lay each coat in order. Dates are agreed once the sample and price are signed off. Our installation service covers all of it.
If your own decorator is doing the work, the shop sells the materials with tracked UK delivery. People who want to learn Venetian plaster can look at our courses in London, Birmingham and Manchester.
Every finish and craft we offer is on our decorative finishes page. We also have decorative finishes specialist pages for London, Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool, Glasgow, Surrey, Essex and Nottingham.
Each finish has its own Kent page. Start with Venetian plastering in Kent, then polished plaster in Kent for high shine and marmorino in Kent for a calmer stone grain. Older houses suit limewash in Kent and clay plaster in Kent. Wet rooms need tadelakt in Kent or microcement in Kent. Modern and dramatic walls come from concrete effect plaster in Kent and liquid metal in Kent.
No. Venetian plaster is where we started, but we also install limewash, tadelakt, microcement, clay plaster, concrete effect, liquid metal, cornice and coving, gilding, lacquered walls, mosaics, murals, bas relief, sculptural plaster and artificial rock.
Limewash and marmorino suit old brick and curved kiln rooms, tadelakt suits en suites, and concrete effect suits the newer flat walls. We survey first and advise room by room.
Cornice and coving is part of our installation range and suits the tall ceilings of Regency and Victorian terraces. We survey the ceiling first and tell you honestly what it needs.
Yes. We plan around your programme and tell you what the walls need before we arrive, so plastering, joinery and decorating follow each other in a sensible order. Trade accounts are available.
