Sevenoaks sits on a ridge with Knole, the vast house of the Sackville family, in its deer park right beside the town. The old High Street runs along the ridge, lined with buildings from several centuries, many of them listed and inside a conservation area. Kentish ragstone and warm red brick are the local materials you will see most.

It starts with an email of photos, rough dimensions and your postcode, which often answers the small questions straight away. For an installation we survey first, checking the substrate, its flatness and soundness, any cracks, damp or movement, how each room is used, and the access and protection required. If a wall needs skimming, stripping or a damp repair before we can begin, we tell you at that stage.
When the sample and price have your approval, we agree the dates. Your plaster is tinted to the approved sample in Birmingham, so the colour is settled before anything is delivered. Have other trades finished and walls dry beforehand, and keep rooms gently warm while we work. On the High Street parking is limited, so let us know about access early.
If your Sevenoaks renovation is led by an architect or designer, we can provide samples and work to a specification, as our designers and architects page explains. Yes. Our applicators travel from Birmingham for a planned block of days, once we have surveyed the walls and you have signed off a sample and price.
Original solid walls take a lime based Venetian plaster or Marmorino well. If the walls have dips, we will tell you whether they need levelling first, since polish shows every one.
Yes. Flat new walls and ceilings suit both, once plasterboard joints are reinforced and the correct primer is applied.
Yes. We fit our dates around the main contractor so that the decorative finish goes on once the dusty work is done.
