Lime Venetian plaster, Marmorino and limewash for Stafford homes, tinted in Birmingham and laid by our own applicators.
Zavoré offers Venetian plastering in Stafford for townhouses, terraces, new homes and country properties around the county town. We supply authentic Italian lime based plaster and our own applicators travel from our Birmingham base to lay it. Start with a sample board in the colours you like, or email photos of the walls to sales@zavore.co.uk.
Every Stafford job begins with questions about the wall itself, because the same finish behaves very differently on an old brick party wall and on a freshly boarded new build.
Stafford is the county town of Staffordshire, and the centre still shows it. The medieval street pattern survives, a number of timber framed buildings remain among the later brick fronts, and there are Georgian townhouses and public buildings close to the Market Square. Parts of the centre are conservation area, so period character matters to many owners.
Around the centre the town grew in the nineteenth century, and Victorian and Edwardian terraces and villas sit on the streets leading out towards the railway station and the older suburbs. These are solid brick houses with tall rooms, chimney breasts, original cornices and walls that have taken a century of repainting.
Further out come interwar and postwar housing, then the newer estates that have been added around the edges of the town. Beyond Stafford, the villages and farms of the Sow valley and the surrounding countryside bring farmhouses, barn conversions and cottages with thick, uneven walls.
So the finish follows the building. Old brick wants lime that can breathe. New estates have plasterboard, and need reinforced joints and the right primer. A barn conversion often needs both approaches in the same house.
We ask for photos, rough measurements and your postcode first. Before pricing an installation we survey the walls, looking at the substrate, flatness, cracks, damp and movement, how the room is used, how we reach it and what needs protecting. If a wall needs skimming, stripping or a damp problem fixing first, we say so plainly.
Once the sample and the price are signed off, we agree dates. Because Stafford is a drive from Birmingham, the work is planned in blocks of days so the team stays on the job and lays each coat in order, rather than travelling back and forth.
Your plaster is tinted to the approved sample before it leaves Birmingham, from our 48 house colours or any NCS reference. Our Venetian plaster installation page sets out what we lay and how we prepare for it.
If you are an architect or interior designer working on a Stafford scheme, our specification page has what you need. If you have your own decorator, we send the materials by tracked delivery, and the trade accounts suit builders buying more than once.

A lime based finish such as Marmorino works well, because it breathes with the old walls and its soft sheen suits period detail. We survey first to check the plaster underneath is sound.
