Where Artistry Begins
Marmorino, polished plaster and period cornice, tinted to your colour in Birmingham and installed in Lytham St Annes by our own applicators.
Zavoré provides Venetian plastering in Lytham St Annes for villas, seaside apartments and smaller commercial rooms. We are based in Birmingham, we supply authentic Italian lime based Venetian plaster, and our own applicators travel to install it, with the colour tinted to match your approved sample. Order a sample board to start, or email photos and your postcode to sales@zavore.co.uk.
Because this is a longer trip from Birmingham, we plan the installation as a block of days. The applicators remain on site and lay the coats in order, with dates agreed after you sign off the sample and price.
Lytham and St Annes are two towns that grew into one, and they feel quite different. Lytham is the older of the pair, with Georgian and Victorian houses around the Green, the windmill beside the estuary and the Georgian Lytham Hall at its edge. St Annes was laid out as a Victorian resort with wide streets, a pier and a seafront of gardens, and its Edwardian villas and terraces of red brick stand in orderly rows behind.
Fairhaven, between the two, has larger detached houses around the lake, and the streets inland carry interwar semis, bungalows and modern infill. Along the coast, a number of older houses have been turned into apartments, and several larger houses have been split into flats.
Those buildings have things in common. Walls are generally solid brick, rooms are often generous with bay windows and original cornice, and the sea air means a damp winter is always possible. Conversions bring modern partitions and boards into old houses, so the surface can change from one wall to the next.
A bathroom wants tadelakt or microcement over a properly waterproofed wall. We do not suggest Venetian plaster inside a shower.
Start with photos, rough measurements and the postcode, and we can often settle small questions from the pictures. Before pricing, we survey the substrate, flatness, cracks, damp and movement, how the room is used, and how we will get in and protect floors and furniture. If a wall needs skimming, stripping or a damp problem fixing, we tell you before you commit.
After sign off of the sample and price, we agree dates. Your plaster is tinted in Birmingham to match the sample before it travels. Each coat is thin and needs time to dry, so cold, damp rooms slow things down, and a steady warmth with other trades finished keeps the work on schedule.
Where a flat is in a shared building, check parking and delivery rules with the managing agent first. The full service is described on our Venetian plaster installation page.
If you already have a decorator, we can tint and send the plaster, base coats and wax tracked to your Lytham St Annes address. If you or your decorator want to learn, our Venetian plaster courses run in Birmingham, and trade accounts are available.
