Marmorino, travertino, microcement and Italian lime Venetian plaster for Greenwich homes, coloured in Birmingham to your chosen board and laid by applicators from our own team.
Zavoré undertakes Venetian plastering in Greenwich for houses, apartments and commercial interiors, supplying authentic Italian lime based Venetian plaster and laying it with our own applicators. We are based in Birmingham, and they travel to Greenwich to finish walls in Marmorino, travertino, microcement, lacquer or any of our other decorative finishes. Ordering a sample board is the simplest place to start, or you can email photos of the space to sales@zavore.co.uk.
Greenwich work is planned as a solid block of days on site. Rather than shuttling back to Birmingham, the applicators stay through every coat until the job is complete.
Greenwich holds some of the most famous historic architecture in the country. Maritime Greenwich is a World Heritage Site, with Wren’s Old Royal Naval College, the Queen’s House and the Royal Observatory above Greenwich Park. The streets around them, such as Crooms Hill and the roads of West Greenwich, have Georgian and older houses, many listed and most inside conservation areas.
East of the town centre the scale drops to Victorian terraces, built in brick for a busy riverside district, and many now carefully modernised. Further east again, the Greenwich Peninsula has been transformed by tall new apartment buildings around the O2, with more along the river towards Deptford and Woolwich.
That gives a decorative plasterer two very different briefs. The old houses have lime plastered solid walls that need to breathe and rarely run perfectly straight. The new apartments have plasterboard and concrete, often with large windows, long walls and strict building rules about when and how contractors work.
Every Venetian plaster colour can be chosen from our 48 house shades or matched to an NCS reference. Browse them on the colours page.
Begin with photos, approximate measurements and your postcode. We can usually help with straightforward questions from those images. A survey comes before any installation price, so that we understand the substrate, its flatness, any cracks, damp or movement, how the space is used, and the access and protection required.
If preparation is needed first, such as a skim coat, stripping an old finish or curing damp in a basement or riverside wall, we will make that clear. Dates are then agreed once you approve the sample and the price, and the plaster is tinted to your approved board in Birmingham before it is loaded.
Parking near the historic centre is limited and tourist traffic is heavy, while Peninsula buildings typically want contractors booked in through building management, so let us know about permits, loading bays and lift bookings when you first get in touch. Our microcement installation and Venetian plaster installation pages explain more.
If you are a decorator in Greenwich wanting to add Venetian plaster to your work, our courses run in Birmingham, and a trade account makes ordering tinted materials simpler. We send materials by tracked delivery across the UK.

Yes, though you should first ask the council whether your plans need listed building consent. For old lime walls we would usually suggest a breathable lime finish.
Travertino, polished Venetian plaster or microcement all suit flat modern walls. We look at the light, the floor and how the room is used before recommending one.
