Where Artistry Begins
Venetian plaster, microcement and metallic finishes for Crawley homes, offices and hotels, tinted to your sample in Birmingham and laid by our own applicators.
Zavoré provides Venetian plastering in Crawley for homeowners, landlords and businesses. We are based in Birmingham, where we tint authentic Italian lime based Venetian plaster to your colour, and our own applicators travel to Crawley to install it, alongside microcement, metallic finishes, concrete effect and other decorative surfaces. Start by sending photos of the space to sales@zavore.co.uk, or order a sample board to try a colour at home.
We plan Crawley work as a continuous block of days. Our applicators stay with the job and lay coat after coat in the right order, so nothing is left waiting for a return visit.
Crawley was designated a New Town after the Second World War and grew outwards from a small market town on the London to Brighton road. The plan divided it into neighbourhoods, each with its own parade of shops, so places like Three Bridges, Langley Green, West Green, Tilgate, Furnace Green and Broadfield each have a character shaped by when they were built.
Most homes date from that postwar expansion, with brick terraces and semis, some tile hung, and low rise flats around green spaces. Later neighbourhoods such as Maidenbower brought larger private estates, and Forge Wood is the newest. The original High Street still has a handful of much older timber framed buildings, and Ifield and Three Bridges keep traces of the villages that came before the New Town.
That makes Crawley walls fairly predictable. Many postwar houses have been replastered or boarded in places, and kitchens and extensions are usually plasterboard. A polished finish shows every dip, so the survey tells us how much levelling the base coats need to do before anything decorative begins.
For rented homes, we will tell you which finishes are easiest to repair if a tenant marks a wall.
Your photos, rough measurements and postcode let us answer simple questions quickly. Before quoting an installation we survey the walls, checking the substrate, flatness, cracks, damp and movement, as well as how the room is used, access and what needs covering. If a wall needs skimming, stripping or a damp problem sorting before we start, we will tell you directly.
Dates are agreed once you have approved a sample and the price. Your material is tinted to that sample before it leaves Birmingham, so the colour arrives ready. Plasterboard walls in newer homes need their joints reinforced and the right primer first, and every coat needs time to dry, so a warm room clear of other trades helps the work move steadily.
On business premises, tell us early about opening hours, security passes and loading arrangements so the work can be planned around them. More detail is on our Venetian plaster installation page and our metallic finishes installation page.
With Gatwick on its northern edge and the Manor Royal business district inside the town, Crawley has plenty of offices, hotels and hospitality spaces where a decorative wall has to look smart and stand up to traffic. Fit out contractors and designers can find specification support on our designers and architects page, and contractors who prefer their own trades can buy tinted materials or open a trade account.

It can transform a plain room. Once the wall has been made flat, a single wall in Venetian plaster gives depth without changing the whole house.
