Venetian plaster, microcement and limewash for Tamworth homes and rentals, tinted in Birmingham and laid by our own applicators.
Zavoré takes on Venetian plastering in Tamworth for homeowners, landlords and businesses. We supply authentic Italian lime plaster, and our own applicators travel from our Birmingham base to lay it, along with microcement, Marmorino, limewash and other decorative finishes. To start, order a sample board in the colour you are thinking of, or send us photos of the room with rough measurements.
Tamworth is close enough to Birmingham for a survey visit before we price, and our applicators can travel to you each day while the job is running.
Tamworth has a long history. It was a royal centre of the Anglo Saxon kingdom of Mercia, and its Norman castle still stands above the meeting of the Tame and the Anker. The old town around the castle and St Editha's Church has Georgian and Victorian buildings, and Sir Robert Peel was MP for the town.
Most Tamworth homes, though, are much newer. From the 1960s onwards the town grew rapidly, taking in people from Birmingham, and large estates were built at places such as Belgrave, Glascote Heath, Stonydelph and Amington. Those houses, from the 1960s through to the 1990s, make up a big share of the town, and building has carried on since with newer developments around its edges.
Older terraced streets survive closer to the centre and in former mining and brickmaking areas like Glascote and Wilnecote, with solid brick walls and older plaster.
So in Tamworth the typical starting point is not a Georgian drawing room but a family home with cavity walls, a mix of plaster skim and plasterboard, and often an open plan kitchen extension. That shapes both the preparation and the choice of finish.
Photos, rough sizes and your postcode let us answer simple questions quickly. Before we price an installation, we survey the room for its substrate, flatness, cracks, damp and movement, and we think about how the space is used, how we get in and what needs protecting. If artex, wallpaper or loose plaster has to come off first, or a wall needs skimming, we tell you straightforwardly.
With the sample and price approved, we book your dates. The plaster is tinted to your sample before it leaves Birmingham, using one of our 48 house colours or any NCS reference.
Plasterboard in newer houses needs its joints reinforced and the right primer before we start. In kitchen extensions, it helps if the units and worktops are fitted and new plaster has fully dried, so our coats are not held up. Our microcement installation page explains how floors and walls are handled.
If you are refurbishing a rental or finishing a small development, a durable finish that can be repaired is usually more useful than the most dramatic option. We can suggest a finish to suit a lettings budget, or supply the materials tinted to your colour for your own trades. Trade accounts make repeat orders simpler. Our articles on Venetian plaster in kitchens and microcement worktops and kitchens are useful reading.

For floors, splashbacks and wet areas, yes. For a feature wall in the dining or living part of the room, Venetian plaster is a good choice. Many people use both.
