Where Artistry Begins
Lime based Venetian plaster, Marmorino and polished plaster, tinted to your colour in Birmingham and laid by our own applicators over a planned block of days.
Zavoré provides Venetian plastering in Belfast for homes, apartments and commercial rooms. We are based in Birmingham, and our own applicators travel to Northern Ireland to lay lime based plaster, Marmorino, limewash, polished plaster and more. Begin with a sample board in the colour you like, or send photos of your walls and the postcode to sales@zavore.co.uk.
Belfast jobs are planned in a block of days. The team stays for the duration, building up each coat in order, and dates are fixed once you have approved the sample and the price.
Belfast grew fast in the Victorian age on the back of linen and shipbuilding, and its streets are still full of Victorian brick. Long terraces of red brick houses run through much of the city, and larger villas fill the leafy streets around Malone and Stranmillis in the Queen’s University area. The Lisburn Road and Ormeau Road are lined with period terraces, many divided into flats.
In the centre, the Cathedral Quarter holds converted warehouses and commercial buildings, and the grand Edwardian City Hall sits at the heart of Donegall Square. Along the water, the Titanic Quarter and other waterfront sites have new apartment blocks with flat, modern walls. Towards Holywood and the shore of Belfast Lough are bigger family houses and newer estates.
So Belfast offers three kinds of wall. A solid Victorian brick wall wants a breathable lime finish and a careful look at damp. A converted warehouse can have uneven brick and tall ceilings. A new apartment has plasterboard that must be flat, jointed and primed before any polished work.
First comes a conversation and photos, then a survey of the walls before we price. We assess what the walls are made of, how flat and sound they are and whether there is damp or movement. Where a wall needs skimming, stripping or a damp problem fixed, we say so plainly.
Once the sample and price are signed off, we plan your block of days. Your plaster is tinted to the approved sample in Birmingham and leaves with the colour already matched, from our 48 house colours or any NCS reference. City centre jobs need good information on parking, lifts and building rules, so please tell us early. Our Venetian plaster installation page lists every finish, and every area we cover is on one page.
Interior designers and architects can use our specification page for Belfast projects. If your decorator prefers to apply the plaster, we send tinted materials tracked, and builders can ask about a trade account. Our article on Venetian plaster on plasterboard is useful for new build apartments.

Marmorino or limewash. Both are lime based and let older brick walls breathe, which a sealed acrylic coating does not.
