Venetian plaster, Marmorino, travertino and microcement for Southampton homes and interiors, tinted to your sample in Birmingham and laid by our own applicators.
Zavoré handles Venetian plastering in Southampton for homeowners, landlords, developers and designers. We are based in Birmingham, we supply authentic Italian lime based Venetian plaster along with microcement, travertino, Marmorino and other decorative finishes, and our own applicators come to Southampton to lay them. The quickest way to begin is to email sales@zavore.co.uk with photos and rough measurements, or to order a sample board in your colour.
Since Southampton is some way from Birmingham, we programme the installation as a block of days on site. The applicators stay on the project and work through the coats in order until the walls are finished.
Southampton has been a port for centuries, and its oldest fabric shows it. Long stretches of the medieval town walls still stand, along with the Bargate and a handful of medieval and Tudor buildings in the old town. Much of the centre, though, was destroyed in wartime bombing and rebuilt afterwards, so the core today is largely postwar, with newer apartment blocks around the waterfront, Ocean Village and the city centre.
The suburbs tell a different story. Shirley, Freemantle, Portswood and Highfield are full of Victorian and Edwardian terraces and semis, with larger detached houses in Bassett and parts of Highfield near the university. East of the Itchen, Woolston and Bitterne mix older terraces with interwar and later housing, and postwar estates such as Thornhill and Millbrook added council homes and flats.
In practice, that gives us solid brick walls in the older suburbs, concrete and plasterboard in the apartment blocks, and plenty of homes that have been extended, knocked through and replastered over the years. The finish you choose should follow the wall you have, which is why we always look before we price.
Rental homes near the universities often need practical, repairable surfaces, and we will recommend those rather than a showpiece where that makes more sense.
Send photos, rough sizes and your postcode first, and we will answer what we can from those. Before pricing the installation, we survey the walls, covering the substrate, flatness, cracks, damp, movement, how the space is used, access and protection. If a wall needs to be skimmed, stripped or treated for damp first, we will say so plainly.
We agree dates after the sample and price are signed off. The plaster is then tinted to your approved sample before it leaves Birmingham. Polished finishes reveal every hollow in a wall, so flatness matters, and a warm, dry room with other trades finished keeps the drying between coats on track.
In apartment blocks, ask your managing agent about lift bookings, protection of shared areas and permitted working hours, and in the city centre allow for limited parking and loading. Find out more on our Venetian plaster installation and microcement installation pages.
For show apartments, hotel and restaurant interiors and office receptions, our specification page explains how we work with designers and architects, including colour matching to any NCS reference. Contractors with their own applicators can buy materials tinted to the agreed colour, and a trade account helps with repeat orders.

Yes. Modern apartment walls are usually flat enough for a polished finish once prepared, and we plan lifts, parking and building rules with you at survey.
Marmorino or limewash, both lime based, let solid brick walls breathe. Where rooms have been replastered or boarded, a polished Venetian plaster can work too.
Microcement is the practical choice for worktops, floors and splashbacks. Venetian plaster suits the walls away from water, and the two can sit side by side.
Yes. Our own applicators do every installation, and Southampton jobs are planned as a block of days so the work runs without interruption.
