Short answer. In Buckinghamshire homes, Venetian plaster suits living rooms, dining rooms and studies, microcement suits ensuites and shower rooms, and Liquid Metal metallic finishes suit a bar or dressing area. Zavoré tints the material to your colour in Birmingham, then its applicators travel to Buckinghamshire and work through a planned block of days.
If you want it installed, our own applicators handle Venetian plaster installation from survey to final coat, including Venetian plastering in Buckinghamshire.
Buckinghamshire mixes old market towns with newer suburbs and large detached homes. Amersham itself has two parts. The Old Town sits in the valley, while Amersham on the Hill grew up around the railway station, with many houses from the early twentieth century. Houses of that era often have bay windows, picture rails and a fireplace in the main rooms, which give a natural frame for a decorative finish running up to the picture rail. Across the county you also find newer family homes in towns such as Aylesbury and High Wycombe, and larger houses set in the Chiltern countryside.
Our microcement bathroom guide covers what to plan for a shower room.
Our studio, showroom and Academy are in Birmingham. For a Buckinghamshire job, the process runs in five steps.
You are also welcome to visit the Birmingham showroom by appointment to see finishes in person before you decide. Bring a cushion, a tile or a paint chip from your home, as seeing the plaster next to your own things makes the choice much easier.
Walls should be sound, dry and free of dust. If you have had new plastering done, it must dry out completely. Sockets and switches are usually loosened so the plaster can run behind the plates. Furniture should be moved out of the rooms being worked on. Tell us about parking, access and any other trades due on site during the block of days, so everyone can plan around each other.
