We run three doors into this craft: a beginner course, an advanced course, and private 1-to-1 training. Each exists because a different kind of student kept walking through it. Here is an honest account of who belongs where.
Learning beside five others has real advantages. You watch five different hands make five different mistakes, and learn from all of them for free. The pace has breathing room, the day has laughter in it, and the course group often outlives the course itself; plasterers compare notes for years. If you are new to the trowel and not against a deadline, the group bench is the natural start, and it is the more affordable path.
The advanced course assumes the basics live in your hands already and spends its four days on the premium finishes, the ones clients pay properly for, plus the pricing and specification sense to sell them. It is the fastest route from competent to expensive.
Private training bends entirely around you. The curriculum is whatever you need it to be: a decorator adding one signature finish, a perfectionist who wants every question answered the moment it forms, or someone whose schedule cannot fit fixed dates. It can run in our studio or on site. You pay more for it because you are buying all of a working master's attention for three days, and for the right student it is the fastest learning we offer.
Say where you are starting from and where you want to be by winter, and we will tell you plainly which door fits; the comparison table on the Training Academy page puts all three side by side. Every path is capped tight, six benches or one, so whichever you choose, book the bench before the date fills.
